Activity programmes in Bludenz

The gateway to the Montafon

Blick auf Bludenz vom Muttersberg

The alpine town may be the smallest in Vorarlberg, but it is strategically located. It is an important hub connecting various valleys and alpine passes, and its beautifully restored lanes reflect the area’s settlement history. With its historic charm, a wide range of leisure activities and its green setting, Bludenz is ideal for a longer stay.

Cultural destinations

Bludenz town center is made for shared experiences with real substance. On a guided city tour, the team discovers the town’s history in narrow alleyways and medieval arcades – and, on request, even with a tower visit. Those looking for even more atmosphere can opt for a night watchman tour, a torchlit hike, or a theatrical city tour through Bludenz. The crime trail also gets the team moving during a shared manhunt for criminals. This is ideal for small groups; larger ones are best split up.

Anyone wanting to combine technology and culture will find an impressive program highlight at Kopswerk II. During a guided power plant tour, the scale of pumped-storage hydropower in the mountains becomes visible. Afterwards, you can hike around the Kops reservoir – the circular route takes about 1,5 hours across the dam and along the natural shoreline.

Excursions into nature

The Muttersberg is Bludenz’ local mountain and, thanks to the Muttersbergbahn cable car, is easy to reach for all fitness and ability levels. At the top, the Alpine Art Kunstwanderweg awaits—a kind of open-air gallery featuring works by various artists. If you prefer to stay closer to town, you will find three easy alternatives for inspiring walking conversations with the Culture Trail "Industriekultur", the Forest Nature Trail and the Circular Trail to the "Hellwald" Sound Rest Area.

In Bludenz, teams looking for the exact opposite of tranquillity can look forward to a truly rare highlight: in the Eiskanal Bludenz, your shared outing gets an ice-cold adrenaline kick. At speeds of up to 100 km/h, you race through the ice channel. The dramatic contrast to a focused seminar makes this an experience you won’t forget anytime soon.

Culinary tips

Bludenz also has a culinary side. At the gourmet manufactory Sabine + Xaver, indulgence becomes a hands-on experience: the team samples homemade baked treats or ties on their aprons and gets to work with the dough themselves. After a day of seminars, it feels great to get active together and create something in a truly creative way.

If you’d like to wind down after an intensive conference, a brewery tour at Fohrenburg Brewery is the perfect way to round off the day. With behind-the-scenes insights into the brewhouse and a tasting at the Brauerei Stuba, Bludenz’s brewing tradition comes to life, creating a shared experience for the group. At the Bertsch Distillery, your group can also learn more about how fine spirits are made. The experience ends with a tasting and a light snack.

Indoor destinations

If the weather turns, the supporting programme in Bludenz still keeps things exciting. At the Ländle Escape Room, the team immerses itself in a variety of themed worlds and goes on a shared puzzle hunt. For those who want more action, the Fohren Center is the place to be: the Strike Bowling Center offers ten state-of-the-art bowling lanes for easy-going team fun, and Lazerfun sends adrenaline soaring.
