Meeting rooms with summit views

A day in a meeting room can be quite exhausting and leave your brain genuinely frazzled! There’s often only one thing to do then and that’s to take a brief mental time out and allow your eyes to wander from the flip chart to the window. The impressive mountain panorama that then delights the eyes immediately conveys the energy that oozes out from these monuments of stone.

There’s one mysterious mountain that develops its full power in the upper Bregenzerwald: the Kanisfluh. Legends and myths have always been associated with this mountain massif that’s located between Mellau and Au. Be it at the Sonne Lifestyle Resort in Mellau or Hotel Adler in Au – no one can escape its magic.

Both, Genuss- und Aktivhotel Sonnenburg and Travel Charme Ifen Hotel in the Kleinwalsertal valley, feature panoramic windows that direct the gaze to the Allgäu Alps … the mountains that line the ‘most beautiful cul-de-sac in Europe’. Award-winning cuisine and wellness at its best are par for the course at these hotels.

You’re happy to do without star-studded luxury but not without priceless views? Then Hotel Viktor is the place for you. This hotel in the little village of Viktorsberg is to be found on a hill that overlooks the Rhine valley. The 360° panorama across the valley to the Swiss mountains that look as if they had been sprinkled with icing sugar is the place for meetings that literally turn into borderline experiences. And there’s a social aspect: Hotel Viktor is an integrative employer where young people with disabilities are trained in the hotel professions.

The name says it all: Hotel Schönblick – which translates as Hotel Beautiful View – in Eichenberg resides at the northern gateway to Vorarlberg, high above Lochau near Bregenz. A new meeting room was opened not far away from there at the Pfänder cable car’s mountain station in summer 2019. This is another place where visitors attending meetings will be able to expect fantastic views as the Swiss mountains gradually turn into gentle and lush green hills before they finally disappear into the shimmering waves of Lake Constance – which is also affectionately called the Swabian Sea in German.

The Bazora meeting room in Frastanz, away from day-to-day business, inspires with fabulous views across the Lake Constance region. This is where fresh ideas and new thoughts are accompanied by alpine living-room charm. The conference room is equipped with the latest technology and sits right in the middle of the green countryside.

Lateral thinkers will find an inspiring place for new ideas at Sporthotel Silvretta Montafon in Gaschurn at the opposite end, i.e. the southern tip, of the region. The Kaltenberghütte at 2,100 metres is the place for visitors who are looking for that genuine mountain experience. The managed hut acquired a new meeting room recently. The Kaltenberghütte is located in the middle of the impressive mountain world and can only be reached on foot – so there’s enough time to let the new knowledge sink in.

The list of Vorarlberg conference hotels with views of summits could be continued endlessly because there is one thing that is impossible in Vorarlberg and that is to find a venue that does NOT offer a view of the mountains. That’s no wonder because Vorarlberg is situated right at the centre of breathtaking alpine landscapes and is a paradise for hikers and climbers. So if you’re planning a meeting or other event and want to draw on the power of the mountains, then this is the place for you. Our employees at Convention Partner Vorarlberg know where the most beautiful views are and would be happy to share that knowledge with you!
