Hop on, brakes off, and downwards you go. Around curves, over bridges, through forests and meadows – the view is marvellous, and adrenaline is guaranteed: is there a better team event than this?

The Golm Alpine Coaster is certainly the most spectacular way of getting from mountain to valley. Hurtling along at speeds of up to 40km/h, the 2600m toboggan includes 44 jumps, 15 wild bends, a 360° spin and all this a few metres above ground. Indeed, it’s so fun that it’s no longer just a summer activity – the Alpine Coaster is available too for hair-raising sweeps through the winter wonderland.

A more classic take on tobogganing can be found at the Summer Toboggan Run in Laternstal. A diagonal lift takes brave tobogganers up to the starting point. From there, a narrow curvy channel winds its way 800 metres down into the valley – with jumps, underpasses and overpasses included. Don’t forget to enjoy the breath-taking views on the way down!
