After years of neglect, the time-honoured Löwen was given a new lease of life in 2013: a distillery in the restaurant turns fragrant mountain herbs into precious spirits, exquisite liquors and tasty herb specialities. Watching the master distiller at work is rare. It is worth paying him a visit for his latest creation alone – Löwen gin in a mouth-blown glass bottle. Generations of locals have thrown parties in the Löwensaal, yet the hall is also a cosy, atmospheric setting for events and receptions. A wooden barn and the two snug dining areas complete the offer.
